Big news: No alliance is concluded Berenger insists

In a relief to many, Paul Berenger says there is no alliance between the MMM-Labour and PMSD.

Speaking at a Réunion of the MMM branch at Camp Levieux, Berenger tells his party supporters the alliance is not concluded.

He did add if there is an alliance, it will be something of the future.

At World Future we are campaigning against a formal alliance between the MMM and the Labour-PMSD. We gave many reasons that you can read here:

And we have more reasons for a rejection of a formal alliance with these parties. We will dissect them soon.

To make it clear, we are campaigning for the good of the nation and we believe the MMM is still a good party.

PMSD?

It is a better party than the PMSD. We are not against the PMSD. But the small blue party which has big ambitions is not what Mauritius needs right now.

The country is going through a massive crisis that is going out of hands. It is a crisis of global and national proportions and it will take more than a ‘family’ party to fix this.

The Blue party has to grow up and become a more national party with a fairer representation in its leadership.

It has to get rid of the grand-father, to son, to grand-son leadership approach.

ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE

The party is facing an economic catastrophe that it has never seen before in its years of independence.

We had the 4-jours-A-Paris and these were strenuous circumstances for the country. Poverty was rampant, drugs were proliferating but people were united.

They were waiting for a change in the political structure and the MMM brought it to them.

It only took 12 years for the party to defeat the corrupted Labour Party.

What we are saying is the MMM knows and has the recipe for success and it will have to dust the files and dig in memories to find them.

Yesterday, Berenger made it clear the country is in a dire strait with the MSM-ML-others clinging to power.

They are incompetent and they are corrupt, he says. He also said they must be stopped at all cost.

True, they must be stopped and we agree to that. But the MMM has to find other ways to do so. Not through a dangerous formal alliance with corrupt Labour Party.

The MMM can work with the Labour Party and the PMSD to discuss ideas, policies and strategies.

Once they all agree on these strategies and share the ideas for change in the country’s political processes and economic situation, they can sit and discuss an alliance of sorts.

We say it again: An alliance of sorts! Une alliance en quelque sort.
