China's Bold Move: Encircling Taiwan to Tighten the Noose Around Washington?

With the Chinese focus on Taiwan, the US must now feel a noose tightening around its neck. It has to deal with a potential new war front in which it will be 'DIRECTLY' involved if China decides to take Taiwan.

With the world facing two hot conflicts with two fronts now active, China has pushed the cards higher with its move to send 10 military aircraft and five naval vessels around Taiwan.

This move can't be seen in isolation with the current global situation with a war in Ukraine that is not ending thanks to American help, and the opening of a new war front in Israel where again the USA is a culprit.

With the Chinese focus on Taiwan, the US must now feel a noose tightening around its neck. It has to deal with a potential new war front in which it will be 'DIRECTLY' involved if China decides to take Taiwan.

This is one of the greatest military moves made by the Chinese in decades.

Encircling Taiwan

Meanwhile, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense (MND) says it tracked 10 Chinese military aircraft and five naval vessels around the country between 6 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 15) and 6 a.m. Monday (Oct. 16).

The defense ministry said 10 People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) military aircraft and five People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels were detected.

Since September 2020, Beijing has increasingly employed the use of "gray zone tactics" in the form of deployments of military aircraft and naval vessels over the median line and inside Taiwan's ADIZ, says the portal that reported the news.

According to CSIS, gray zone tactics are “an effort or series of efforts beyond steady-state deterrence and assurance that attempts to achieve one’s security objectives without resorting to direct and sizable use of force."
