Faction wants purge in MSM but is it too late?
The MSM is rigged with internal fights after the release of the Serenitygate and Sherrygate, says a source.
The party of Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth is in a quandary on how to handle the video scandals which is ripping through its membership.
There are two opinions in the party, one is to kick Jugnauth out as the next PM and the other is to close eyes and follow the latter.
But the faction for a purge of a further purge of the party does not have the edge, the party is firmly in the hands of the Jugnauth dynasty, says the source.
However, a team from the party is working on the ground to change the scenario.
“They are working to bring down Pravind Jugnauth. In the constituency where the PM is candidate, the team is actively campaigning against him.
“They are pinning for other candidates to take over the MSM,” said the source.

The MSM-ML has Françoise Labelle – Ashley Itoo – Nando Bodha at No 16 and they are opposed to Joanna Bérenger, Dhanraj Boodhoo and Ajay Gunnesh for the MMM.
The people from the MSM on the ground are campaigning for the MSM voters to pick Joanna Bérenger, Dhanraj Boodhoo from the MMM and Nando Bodha from the MSM.
The plan is to get Bodha to be elected while they hope Pravind gets beaten in his constituency No 8. Quartier-Militaire–Moka.
The faction says the ‘gates’ videos has split the party and is splitting its voter base, diminishing its chances in the elections.
