November 3rd political gatherings in Mauritius ahead of forthcoming General Elections saw opposition party MMM lead the battle of the crowds with 15,000 people rallying in Port Louis.

The Labour party in alliance with the PMSD attracted some 12,000 in Quatre-Bornes, a figure which loyalists say was dampened by the weather.

The Governing party, MSM could not attract a crowd similar to 2014, with only half of the number responding to the call of Leaders, or a mere 7,500. This leaves the Leaders of the Pravind Jugnauth alliance in huge stress, a few days only from the General elections.

Could Mauritius witness a massive overhaul of political parties, with the people of Mauritius preferring the MMM as winners on November 3rd elections?

PEOPLE POWER

It is said the MMM has an edge over its opponents and this has been proven once again yesterday when a large number of people slowly gathered in Port Louis.

There were fewer buses for rent for the MMM but participants made it at the Municipality using different means of travel. Some say it was a shocking display of people power.

Veterans spoke of a repetition of 1982 when the MMM/PSM alliance blew off all political opponents in a landslide 60-0 win.

Signs have already appeared of the MMM leading the three-cornered fight in which the MSM seems to have conceded defeat.

Political observers across the island have pointed out the calmness of Berenger and his relaxed body language.

His choice of words was only an attempt to convince undecided voters to make the right choice and to vote the MMM.
