Korean Expressway kicks off traffic congestion consulting project

The Korea Expressway Corporation in a media release said it kicked off a consulting project for traffic congestion mitigation in Mauritius on March 30.

The Korea Expressway Corporation and the Mauritius government signed a contract for the project in November 2016.

According to the contract, the South Korean corporation is planning to rebuild three roundabouts into overpasses while conducting design, construction supervision, defect management and so on with regard to access road construction for traffic congestion mitigation.

“Mauritius is home to a number of international organizations such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank and, as such, it can be a bridgehead for many South Korean companies’ future business in Africa as a whole.

“We will finish the project successfully so that more South Korean companies can have an easier access to the African continent,” the Korea Expressway Corporation explained.
