Khazanah Deputy MD is new Axiata board member

Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata) said it appointed the Deputy Managing Director of Khazanah National Berhad (Khazanah), Tengku Datuk Seri Azmil Zahruddin Raja Abdul Aziz, 47, as the newest addition to its Board. He replaces Kenneth Shen, who has served on the Board of Axiata as Khazanah nominee since 2011. With the appointment, Tengku Dato’ Sri Azmil will represent the strategic investment fund

With the appointment, Tengku Dato Seri Azmil will represent the strategic investment fund as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director (NINED) of Axiata effective 12 January 2018.

Joining Khazanah in 2011 as Executive Director of Investments, Tengku Datuk Seri Azmil managed Khazanah’s investments in a number of areas, including Innovation and Technology as well as oversight for its offices in San Francisco and Khazanah Koridor Utara in Penang.
