Azmin: We solved Selangor’s peoples woes with RM3b, what if we could manage Putrajaya’s RM280b budget?

Cutting off from the rhetoric, the Menteri Besar of Selangor Azmin Ali asked the Pakatan Harapan convention what would happen if his party were to manage the humongous national budget of RM280 billion which is now under the purview of PM Najib Razak.

“We must walk the talk. Cut the rhetoric. So, we must deliver,” said Azmin.

He said Selangor, the industrial state with high end technology has upheld the principle of social justice. The state has 42 programmes = Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) – that 6 million Selangor citizens are enjoying.

More than RM2.5 billion has been ‘returned’ to the people in many initiatives and programmes.

The budget for the state of Selangor which is RM3 billion – compared to the Putrajaya budget that is over RM280 billion, has been more effective, he hinted.

He said with the RM3 billion the state has made it possible to cater for the health of the people with the Skim Peduli Sihat that has attended to at least 1 million of the citizens of Selangor.

“We have also assisted 45,000 small entrepreneurs in Selangor dengan RM306 million through the HIJRAH program. Now we are pushing the KISS program or Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor to salute the sacrifices made by the mothers at the cost of RM 72 million.

Imagine if we were to give a chance to manage that RM280 bilion ? “I am sure more Malaysians would benefit,” he said.

He said: “Where there is unity, there is always victory.”

“When the Pakatan Harapan government is formed, we will bailout the Felda folks, and a new Malaysia will rise,” he said.
