Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi rejected offers to visit Mauritius twice.

One was for the launch of the Light Rail Metro and the latest is the celebration of Indentured Labourers day.

Sources in Port Louis informed the Modi government a group in Mauritius planned rallies against his arrival in the country.

Nevertheless, the group want to vindicate the bullying of a certain Hindu group considered of lower caste in India.

But the Mauritian group sympathise with the Indians of Hindu faith bullied in India under the Modi regime.

They are also against all forms of domination against minority groups altogether by New Delhi.

In the meantime, warned of this outcome, Modi was advised not to visit Mauritius.

However, for the Metro Leger launch, he appeared live on a screen and for the Indentured Labourers day, he is missing.

EMBASSY BEGGED?

Our sources in New Delhi tell us the Mauritius Embassy in India begged Modi to come for the celebration of indentured labourers ‘ arrival in Mauritius.

The event is to be held on November 2.

It is planned as part of the MSM-ML’s electoral campaign to rope in the Hindu voters on their side.

Instead, the actress turned Politician, Mrs Smiti Irani was picked to replace Modi.

Nevertheless, the absence of Modi in Mauritius is a telltale for the MSM-ML.

It is also a sign for the embattled Pravind Jugnauth that he has to fight it alone in the elections.
