PKR leader speaks of conspiracy against Anwar
‘Reformasi’ and ‘Anwar for 8th PM’ was heard in the streets of Kuala Lumpur today.
This after the release of Anwar Ibrahim’s aide Farhash Wafa Salvador who says he does not look like Azmin.
The latter was jailed in a police sweep to get to the bottom of a series of gay-sex videos.
The videos are targeting a minister in Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s cabinet.
It is the first time since the Pakatan Harapan took power that a ‘reformasi’ leader is carried on shoulders in the streets.
Anwar’s aide says he was arrested under a particular section which was then downgraded, thus confusing the police itself.
He also says if there is a political conspiracy, it is a conspiracy against Anwar Ibrahim.
The freed Farhash also directly implicated Minister of Economic Affairs Azmin Ali in the videos.
He asks the police why they did not arrest the latter.
A group of supporters — in their hundred assembled to greet Farhash on his release.
The crowd was waiting for his release with shouts of ‘reformasi’ and Anwar 8th PM.
His hands were up in the air when he was shouting ‘reformasi’.
Farhash challenged Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to arrest Azmin over the sex video scandal.
He says without fear the police should arrest the minister “if you have credibility”.
The personal secretary of Anwar also says police officers themselves were perplexed as to the reason for his arrest.
They were also in disbelief Azmin not being picked up, he says.
“I don’t look like Azmin. So why couldn’t the police just call (me in for questioning) and record my statement?”, he says.
“Look I learned something, a quote on the prison wall – if law becomes injustice, reformasi becomes a duty,” he says.
