U.S.-France abusing Lgbt issue to destabilise Mauritius
The United States and France are meddling in the country and testing the peace among the various communities, said a source to WFTV.
The source said the U.S. and French are in tacit support to a Lgbt group that is causing havoc in the country.
“The U.S. and the French are abusing this issue to destabilise the country and the government,” said a source to WFTV.
The embassies are said to be in support of a Collectif Arc-en-Ciel movement.
The movement organised a seminar in Port Louis rallying Lgbt heads from around the Indian Ocean.
Following the seminar, there were alleged threats made against the movement for organising a rally planned today in Port Louis.
“The movement, with the support of the Americans and French, managed to get the local police to open an investigation on the supposed threats,” said the source to WFTV.
The source said the leaders of the movement, one Diamond Lil and Pauline Verner, are calling the threats ‘terrorist’ because Muslims voiced their opposition to the rally.
If the police accept their version of terrorism – with alleged threats against them – then it can use the highly controversial law called POTA.
The POTA or Prevention of Terrorism Act has not been used in Mauritius.
Muslims generally see the law as anti-Muslim. They say it depicts the clothing which it says terrorists are prone to use.
The description, some Muslim associations said to WFTV, appears to be traditional Muslim garbs.
WFTV also revealed two months ago that the U.S. had its hands in the forced resignation of the first Muslim woman President in Africa.
Ameenah Gurib-Fakim was forced to quit her post in March this year after she was accused of funds misuse.
However, we have information that confirms President Donald Trump’s hands in the Gurib-Fakim affair.
Now they are meddling even further in the affairs of the country, said a source.
“They are pressuring the Mauritian government to recognise the ‘rights’ of the group in Mauritius.
“With the weak Prime Minister and a government that is breaking down, the Americans and French are having it a good time meddling in our affairs.
“Allowing the Lgbt movement to associate threats against it as ‘terrorism’ is also part of the U.S.-French plot against Muslims,” said the source.
The Lgbt group intentions to organise a rally in Port Louis has aggravated the situation.
The group is assembled under the Arc-en-Ciel movement, a movement that supports the Lgbt in Mauritius.
Its leader, Pauline Verner said she received various death threats and has appealed to the police for protection.
Several Muslim associations have organised conferences and talks and have also written the Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth to stop the rally.
The PM decided the rally should not take place.
But upon the confessed intervention of Diamond Lil, the PM and the police has allowed the rally to take place today.
The source said the weakness of the Prime Minister is clearly seen in his bending under ‘Western’ pressure.
Muslim youths are advised not to attempt any disruptions of the Lgbt rally. The religious leaders says their presence might trigger the use of the POTA by the local police.
“This will be a dangerous situation. Instead of protecting the society against such evil forces like the Lgbt and their western backers, the police will act against its own citizens!”.
