10 NFL Teams Did NOT Issue A Pride Statement This Year, Conservative Americans Happy

There have been several problems between the conservative American community and the LGBTQ+ community. On both ends, they claim to be the right force for the future of our society. But, to centrists, they may both appear to be on extreme ends of their political ideologies, which is the left and the right. 

According to Fox News, June marks Pride Month, and the NFL is no exception. About two-thirds of NFL teams celebrated on social media, with 21 teams sharing messages of support to their 42 million followers. 

Some teams, like the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles, even altered their logos to reflect Pride colors. While the NFL itself didn’t tweet on June 1, it retweeted supportive messages from teams. 

Despite varying opinions on Pride Month, the NFL’s engagement reflects a growing acceptance over the years. Eleven teams remained silent, but silence doesn’t necessarily indicate opposition in today’s polarized society.

Furthermore, conservative pages like End Wokeness states that there are 11 teams that do not support the month. Other conservatives claim that “normal” gay individuals do not support the month as well. This is stemming from some of the controversial pride walks that have been hosted in the western countries where individuals were wearing inappropriate outfits.

Others talked about how the support for Trump is rising during this moment, and these things are reflecting that. Regardless, X users do find it rather pointless for sports teams to align themselves with a month dedicated to the sexuality of a group of individuals as a marketing gimmick.
