Big protests against Macron in India, U.K. worldwide

Thousands of Muslims in countries around the world are protesting against France and Macron over their perceived animosity towards the Prophet of Islam

In India, protests against French president Emanuel Macron surfaced in various cities across the country on Friday.

The protests in India took place mostly in western Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband town, in Mumbai and in a locality in Gujarat. They had posters urging for the boycott of France.

“BOYCOTT MACRON” – “BOTCOTT FRANCE”

Apparently, Macron has sparked massive fury among Muslims on a worldwide scale after he refused to renounce the caricatures against the Prophet of Islam.

This invites sharp responses from Muslim communities worldwide.

From Pakistan to the U.K. Muslims demonstrated.

Anti-French rallies erupted after Friday prayers in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon and other countries.

Protesters called for a boycott of French products and condemned President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Al Jazeera, Macron is now a target in several Muslim-majority countries.

Macron has called Islam a religion “in crisis” and defended the right of a magazine to publish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammed.

The protesters did not like Macron’s stance on the Charlie Hebdo cartoons.

MIDDLE EAST BOYCOTT

Several Middle East super marts have removed French products from their shelves after calls for boycott.

From Saudi Arabia to Kuwait, people are following-up on the calls to boycott French products, notably food products.

Several Middle Eastern countries are taking up on these calls as a form of protest against France over the cartoons.

Muslims see any depiction of the Prophet as blasphemous.
