The major defeat received by the Conservative party in Britain has made Britons rejoice with the fact that Rishi Sunak is no longer their Prime Minister. Furthermore, the Labour party has won with a massive margin. X users did not hold back any remarks they had towards their former Prime Minister.
The BBC states, Sir Keir Starmer is the UK's new prime minister following a landslide victory by the Labour Party. The Conservative Party suffered a massive collapse after 14 tumultuous years in power, which saw five different prime ministers. Outgoing PM Rishi Sunak accepted responsibility for the defeat and announced his resignation as party leader.
In his first speech, Starmer promised a "national renewal" and to prioritize the country over the party. The election marked a dramatic turnaround from Labour's 2019 defeat. Former Conservative minister Robert Buckland described it as "electoral Armageddon" for the Tories, who now face an ideological battle over their future direction.

No
You gave very little
And took everything you could
You fleeced the common man, let the country fall further into decay and now you will swam back to your lavish lifestyle leaving the British public to feel the repercussions of your gross…
It appears that the common Brit doesn’t have much positivity when it comes to their former Prime Minister. An X user claims that the former PM “took” a lot from the people with the rapid rise in inflation. They add that he did not do much to counter it and let the country spiral down in decay.
Most users are unhappy with the fact that he is already a billionaire and resigning from his position as PM will most likely not affect his lifestyle in any way.
