Update: Deadly coronavirus spreading like wildfire: Who to blame?
More than 7,000 infected and At least 213 people have died from the virus in China
China was aware of the rise of influenza cases in the country from a stable 150,000 figure to 1.4 million in Dec-March 2018 but did nothing!
The Coronavirus is spreading like wildfire, reminiscent of the SARS and H1N5 viruses that gripped Asia almost 15 years ago. But who is really responsible for the spread of this virus?
The World Health Organisation says it is too early to call it a pandemic, which is a fair assessment for some countries. But in other countries like China, the UK for example, it is worrisome.
In China, millions of citizens are now living in lockdown in their cities. And today, in the UK, fourteen people have been tested for suspected coronavirus.
Five have been confirmed negative and nine are still awaiting results.
However, the virus is spreading fast in other countries. A list of countries that have declared their first victims of the Coronavirus are as follows:
845 CASES-25 DEATHS
Mainland China: 830
Taiwan: 1
Macao: 2
Hong Kong: 2
Vietnam: 2
Thailand: 3
Japan: 1
South Korea: 2
Singapore: 1
United States: 1
CNBC says the Coronavirus cases has risen to more than 800 (see figures above) worldwide. China has confirmed its death toll has risen to 25.

Singapore on Thursday declared its first Coronavirus case, a Chinese citizen who stayed at the Shangri-La hotel on the Island of Sentosa.
This has sparked fear among guests at the hotel who asked the management on which floor the person was staying.
Singaporean authorities have taken steps to start health screenings at entry points, including the heavily used causeway with Malaysia.

According to the Daily Mail, China built a lab to study SARS and Ebola in Wuhan. Wuhan is the city where the Coronavirus originates.
In 2017, US biosafety experts warned a virus could ‘escape’ the facility located in the city of Wuhan.
TWITTER RAGE
People on Twitter are raging against China. They are asking the Chinese authorities to take responsibility for the spread of the virus.
“China government should take responsibility to make known to public about the virus sample. This is not only happens in China, it spread to worldwide already! It comes a worldwide disaster,” says one Twitter user, @Y_NWA96
The tweet reflects the opinion of many others who are blaming China for the virus. A check on Twitter will show the numbers.

According to reports, a Chinese citizen may have consumed snake meat purchased from an ‘animal market’ in Wuhan. This may have caused the transmission of the virus from the animal to humans.
The Chinese authorities knew about it a month ago, but did not disclose the discovery of the new virus thread.
They were not aware the virus could have left China’s borders with people who have contracted it reaching other shores.
While on Twitter the vote is out against China, which is blamed 100% for the virus spreading globally, the WHO and other countries are still weighing the culpability factor.
