e.GO's new e.wave X is unveiled by Neymar
AACHEN, Germany, May 6, 2022 — The independent German electric car maker Next.e.GO Mobile SE held an exclusive event to introduce its new generation lineup, beginning with the e.wave X, alongside brand ambassador and Brazilian football superstar Neymar Jr.
The special unveiling of one of the most innovative and sustainable urban electric vehicles drew around 150 guests and press representatives. The event, which was live-streamed and supported by IFA – the world’s most important marketplace for consumer electronics and innovation – marks the start of e.GO Mobile’s next chapter of growth.
“The acceleration of sustainable mobility is front and centre, not only for the future of our planet but also to navigate the tectonic shifts that we are experiencing globally,” Ali Vezvaei, Chairman of the Board of Next.e.GO Mobile SE, says during the event.

The e.wave X is more than simply a mode of transportation; it’s a complete lifestyle. It’s packed with innovation and sustainability. For brand ambassador Neymar Jr., this is also a turning point in the development of sustainable mobility, as he explains: “Observing the construction of this unique electric vehicle is like watching 3D art being created in real time. e.GO Mobile is creating electric cars in a way that is unrivalled in the industry, utilising advanced robotics, a tech-first Internet of Production IT architecture, and an innovative exterior concept that is not only more resistant to dents and scratches and much easier to maintain and repair, but also unlocks the possibility of changing the exterior (re-skinning) to offer various colour options for the same vehicle over its life cycle.
