Google against freedom, silencing voices: U.S. Senator
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says Google is the “most dangerous company on the face of the planet” adding that ‘big tech’ are trying to silence voices they do not agree with.
Some of the big tech companies are Facebook, Google and Twitter.
The senator says companies like Google, Twitter, and Facebook allegedly interfered in America’s elections.
Talking to Breitbart News, he describes big tech as the “single greatest threat” the country faces to having “free and fair elections.”
Asked if he had an opinion on which company posed the greatest danger, Cruz says, “I think hands down Google is the most dangerous company on the face of the planet. Google is the most dangerous because it’s the biggest by far. It is the most powerful by far. It controls the vast majority of searches people do.”
Cruz referenced a 2019 hearing for the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution — of which he is chairman — where he invited psychologist Dr. Robert Epstein to discuss big tech’s manipulation abilities.
Cruz said Epstein found that “Google, through manipulated search outcomes, shifted over 2.6 million votes in 2016 to the Democrats.”
