Has Solskjær found the formula for Man Utd?

Brighton was competitive and threatening against strong opposition that Manchester United represented on the night.

But this did not stop the Red Devils from winning their fourth Premier League game in 12 matches. A poor performance overall but a good victory that lifts them from the bottom of the league.

But the question is whether Ole Gunnar Solskjær has found the right template for the team?

“This is a little bit of a template on how we want to play. It was pleasing for me that we went forward,” he said after the Partizan match.

THE LEARNING CURVE

He also said United have let go of five leads this season, but against Partizan they got it right.

“We needed the second and third. Too many times we’re 1-0 up and haven’t got the second.

“But it’s learning, these boys are learning and tonight will give them loads of pointers of how we play when we’re performing well.”

A recurring theme in United’s season so far is their attacking.

When they attack down the right with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, they lack the cutting edge.

Wan-Bissaka is young and still learning and must show he is improving and getting into the game to help with assists or goals.

THE RETURN OF MARTIAL

One big difference in the Utd team this week is the return of Anthony Martial.

Pundits are saying with his pace he brings threat and shows what the team was missing while he was absent.

They call him one of the ‘speedy triumvirate’ together with Dan James and Marcus Rashford.

 But the team got to win more matches and play even better against sharper and stronger opponents to keep a good tab on this season.

CUP WINS

Nevertheless, the club has more cup wins this season and is doing better in the non-Premier League matches.

Is that a sign the club may win some silver at the end of the season, lifting a trophy in a cup final?
