Khairy: Interstate, inter-district travel for vaccination during lockdown are allowed - The Star Online

PUTRAJAYA: Inter-district and interstate travel are allowed for those who have to attend vaccination appointments during the nationwide lockdown which begins on Tuesday (June 1), says Khairy Jamaluddin.

He said permission was given for those travelling for this purpose and it had been made as part of standard operating procedure by the National Security Council.

“Interstate and inter-district travel for vaccination is allowed, ” said the coordinating minister for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme on Monday (May 31).

Khairy also said the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency was evaluating the Cansino vaccine.

“The producers have given NPRA information and answers to its queries. Evaluation is being done now and we have asked for the process to be expedited, ” he said.

Khairy said that the Health Minister would be signing an agreement with Duopharma on the procurement of the Sputnik V vaccine, which would also be evaluated by NPRA

“On the procurement of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we will evaluate, ” he said.
