Louis Vuitton is striving for a significant comeback after LVMH’s recent stock slump. However, many TikTokers and fashion commentators are criticizing the trend of influencers promoting luxury brands as "tacky." It is unclear if the brand is exactly giving influencers these bags for free, or if these bags are loaned.

Aeon Kobra, a TikToker who primarily discusses Hermes bags, states that potential customers are confused with the entire situation. Some state that if a brand as big as Louis Vuitton is able to give away their new collection for free to a vast number of influencers, why should they, the customer, purchase the pricey bag.
She adds that the bag did gain some momentum in lieu with the brand working with influencers. Despite the not so positive conversation towards the new neverfull bags, there is a conversation about it nevertheless.

Additionally, there are several influencers who have in the past discussed that the neverfull is “outdated,” and “tacky.” There are TikTokers claiming that these very influencers who made such statements were even gifted the bag from the luxury fashion house, but it is unclear which influencer stated it.
Positive reviews from mainstream media
For the most part, major publications like Harper’s Bazaar have posted positive things towards the new release. They state that it is an innovative update to the iconic bag as it is now officially reversible. But, many forget that when it was first released in 2007, it was only US$645 (RM 2,767) which in contrast to today, it’s over US$2,000.

Redditors state that if they do see a neverfull bag in the wild, they might automatically assume that it is a fake bag. This is due to the bag being one of the more popular options in general, hence the number of fakes would be higher than a non-popular bag.
