KOTA KINABALU: Family members in the same district can visit each other from the first to the third day of Hari Raya in Sabah, with not more than 10 people in a house.

State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun announced the Hari Raya standard operating procedure (SOP), as part of the fine-tuned protocols to be effective from Wednesday (May 12) until June 7 state-wide.

“House visits are still based on the capacity of the premises and limited to 9am until 9pm, where only a maximum of two hours for each group of 10 people.

“The house owner must also provide a MySejahtera QR Code and follow the health protocols set before,” Masidi said in a statement on Tuesday (May 11).

For the updated conditional movement control order in general, travel permittance will be reverted from districts to zones, starting from May 17 to June 7.

“Tourism activities would follow districts between May 12 to May 16, and will be allowed in zone level come May 17 to June 7.

“Social activities that are still being prohibited throughout this period (May 12 – June 7) are kenduris, wedding or engagement receptions, doa selamat or tahlil ceremonies, dinner and birthday celebrations.

“Face-to-face seminars, conferences and meetings are also not permitted,” he added.

After the federal announcement of MCO to be enforced effective Wednesday, Masidi earlier announced that subject to a few minor adjustments, Sabah will continue its current SOPs under conditional MCO.
