MSM to replace Gungah with Vijay Koonjoo?

The MSM is said to have launched a campaign in search of new faces to replace several personalities from its list of candidates in the upcoming General Elections expected in 2019.

A person close to the Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth has been tasked to find the replacements for these personalities, WFTV was told.
The person is said to be one Bassu Seetaram and he is given the job to look for future candidates in some specific constituencies.
Seetaram is said to be the personal body guard of the PM and has also grown into a powerful personality within the port circle in Mauritius.

The first name on the list in this reshuffling that will take place within the MSM sooner or later, is the Honourable Ashit Kumar Gungah, MP. He is the first member for constituency No. 6 of Grand Baie and Poudre D’Or, and is currently the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection.

The source did not say whether the change will take place before the polls are called, which means to say there is no indication that there will be a cabinet reshufle at the moment.

The person to replace Gungah is said to be the brother of Prem Koonjoo, Vijay Koonjoo.
Soodesh Ragoobar who is also an MP at the No 6 is also said to be on the list of political figures whom the party think need to be replaced.
The MSM is also said to be looking for a solid figure to take on the seat of Raj Dayal and that of the Minister of Arts and Culture Prithvirajsing Roopun at Flacq and Bon Acceuil constituency.
