Pak Lah still alive, says his office, refuting viral talk of former PM's death - The Star Online

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Office of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi refuted a viral social media post claiming that the country’s fifth prime minister had died Thursday (June 17)morning.

In a statement, it said Abdullah, or fondly known as Pak Lah, is in good health with his family around him.

“The Office will take legal action against those spreading the fake news. It is also hoped that members of the public can verify the information they receive with the relevant authorities before spreading it in order to avoid confusion, ” the statement read.

The fake news claiming that Abdullah had died went viral on social media Thursday. – Bernama
