Police have recorded the statement from a woman who claimed that she was intimidated to withdraw her earlier report accusing two associates of Gombak Setia assemblyman Hilman Idham of rape.
When contacted, lawyer Asheeq Ali said his client was called to the Brickfields police headquarters on Tuesday (May 11) morning to have her statement recorded.
“We have given the police all the evidence on the people who met her, called her and texted her with threats.
“She is worried for her family’s safety, as well as her own now,” he said.
