Who is the richest man in Mauritius with 14 'Valises'

Popular beliefs have it that the richest man in Mauritius should be someone from the business community.

Some would say that person should be someone with a historical family background.

But it might surprise everyone that such a person would be a politician.

And not any politician, for that matter, but someone who has been in and out of the Cabinet over the last few decades.

Let’s do a politician-richest-man-of-Mauritius kind of one-on-one to get to the bottom of the biggest story yet this year in our beloved country.

Mauritius was shocked – and so was the world – when millions of rupees and foreign currencies were found stashed in the former Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam’s house.

Ramgoolam’s millions

It was a shocker, was it not? How could Ramgoolam have so much money hidden in his rabbit hole?

He told the Mauritians it was his hard-earned money from his ‘side’ business.

Well, we all know Navin does not have any side businesses, does he?

Unless he is a dormant and invisible partner in some fishy business, that is. But having Rupees 200 million under your bed where you sleep makes you a very rich man who does not trust the banks!

But today, the MSM-ML regime has probably given birth to a nouveau rich.

Recently, WorldfutureTV was tipped on the arrival of 14 travel luggage brought in by a minister.

Valises l’argent

By travel luggage, it clearly means the ‘valises’ as they are called in Creole, were brought in through the airport and this must have gone without any checks.

Otherwise, why is it that no one officially declared any such ‘valises’ because if they were declared at the customs, and not opened by the officers it would be a major lapse.

It may even be a crime for the customs not to have opened any of the luggage, would it not be?

The story goes that a minister travelled abroad a month or so ago, brought in 14 valises that were not officially declared and were sent to his home.

The ‘valises’ apparently had ‘Saudi Air’ tags on them and a source who claims to know the origin and the content of the luggage said they contained cash, in foreign currency.

That must be millions of dollars!

Minister Soodhun

The same source – the one that broke the major story in Mauritius about New Delhi wanting to save Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and asking him to call for early elections – told WorldfutureTv the good Minister Showkutally Soodhun was in India protected by ‘Saudi Arabian’ bodyguards.

We have no evidence of this, but we do not have any reason to discard this information that comes from a trusted source in New Delhi.

The saying goes that Soodhun was in India in a very ‘protected’ environment that made it impossible for the anti-terror group that wanted to protest in his presence, to even see him.

We have no news yet whether his mission in India was a success.

We were told he wanted to go to India to lay his hands on someone who supposedly had some videos of great interest to everyone.

And they complained that he was surrounded by ‘body’ guards whom we were told were from Saudi origins. That does not mean they were Saudis, indeed.

So, did you get an idea how does the 1o1 of politician-richest-man-of-Mauritius works?

If not, get back to us!
