Teacher who allegedly made rape jokes in Ain Husniza's class transferred - The Star Online

PETALING JAYA: The teacher who was called out by Malaysian teenager Ain Husniza Saiful Nizam (pic) for allegedly making rape jokes in class has been transferred to the state education department.
The Education Ministry said this is until the police investigation on the teacher from SMK Puncak Alam, Selangor is completed.
“The ministry’s next course of action depends on the outcome of the investigation.
“Because the matter is under police investigation, we will not issue any statements throughout the process.
“We have also examined in detail regarding a comment that was allegedly made by the principal towards the student on Facebook.
“We understand that the principal has made a police report denying the comment and believes that her Facebook account was hacked,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday (May 12).
Commenting on the warning letter the student received, the ministry said the students’ school attendance is monitored via a system called Sistem Sahsiah Diri Murid.
It said that if a student does not attend school for three consecutive days or 10 non-consecutive days without issuing a letter of reason, teachers, through this system, will issue the first warning letter to the student’s parents.
“Between April 16 and 30, the school has issued six warning letters.
“We want to stress that we always prioritise the safety and welfare of students and the entire school,” it added.
