Send Money In Whatsapp? A Financial Revolution!
Now, for a limited number of people, money can be sent through Whatsapp! It is just like you are sending a message on WhatsApp but the big difference is the families and friends or partners can get money from WhatsApp.
Indeed, it is not in fiat currency, that is the US dollar. Money is sent using a digital wallet that will send cryptocurrency to WhatsApp.
This has become possible thanks to collaboration with Novi, a payment service provider, as stated by Novi’s head Stephane Kasriel in his Twitter account:
The cash is sent through Novi, a digital wallet of Meta corporation (former Facebook), launched six weeks ago as a pilot project. Novi says it is a new way to send and receive money instantly and securely. Novi supports Pax Dollar (USDP) stable coin, released by Paxos.
A limited number of WhatsApp users in the U.S. can now send instant transfers in cryptocurrency from within WhatsApp thanks to Novi.
Sending and receiving is free of charge and is sent and received as an attachment in WhatsApp.
To access the function, simply press a paper clip (Android) or + (iOS) icon and choose “Payment” in the menu. Payments will appear directly in people’s chats.
Transactions are unlimited: Unlimited amount of crypto, an unlimited number of times you can send out money or receive money. Better than a bank!
