This Is Why Pakistan Is Sticking To China

KUALA LUMPUR: This is why Pakistan is sticking to China as an economic, military partner whether it makes sense or not to the Muslim world.

PM Imran Khan says it is very unfair for Western powers to pressure Pakistan to break its relationship with China.

He says the U.S. and other powers are putting pressure on Pakistan to choose sides. They also expect a downgrade of the relationship with China.

Imran Khan says it. The relationship with China is ‘deep’ hence there will be no change.

“Whatever will happen, our relationship between the two countries — no matter what pressure is put on us — is not going to change,” he stresses.

INDIA, THE COMMON ENEMY!

The main reason why the Chinese and Pakistani relationship is so deep is the common enemy, India.

China came to the support of Pakistan in the past in its wars against India.

China and Pakistan share close military relations, with China supplying a range of modern armaments to the Pakistani defence forces.

China supports Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir, while Pakistan supports China on Xinjiang, Tibet, and Taiwan.

That makes a perfect partnership. It is nothing ideological or religious in nature.
