The US market fell overnight on fears of stagflation after the Federal Reserve Chairperson mentioned the likelihood of a higher-than-expected rate rise next month, despite better-than-expected unemployment claims. Earlier, European markets surged as a result of business results.

The FBM KLCI rose 4.57 points to 1598.32 points on the local market. Following recent advances, the FBM KLCI might continue its comeback toward the 1620-point resistance level.
