A tampon dispenser in a boys' bathroom at Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego was repeatedly vandalized, leading to it being removed and placed in a toilet. Principal Desiree Fisher addressed the issue in May, highlighting the ongoing vandalism and urging students to respect school property.
The incident sparked online debate about Oregon's Menstrual Dignity Act, which mandates free menstrual products in schools. After Fisher's public address, the vandalism ceased, and no further incidents have been reported since.
Had they required tampon dispensers in boys' restrooms when I was in high school, the boys would have ripped it off the wall, pried it open, and hung the contents on the girls' car antennas. 🤣

X users add that if these items were mandatory to be in the boys bathroom just 10 years ago, a whole can of worms would’ve been opened. They add that they would have torn the machine apart and placed the tampons on car antennas.
