The US-led effort to facilitate humanitarian aid in Gaza faced challenges as President Joe Biden considered a visit to Israel to show solidarity and influence the conduct of its conflict with Hamas.

In Biden's planned visit, he intends to show where the U.S. stand in the war between Gaza and Israel. It is also seen as a potential diplomatic effort to address the ongoing conflict and encourage Israel to allow aid into Gaza, though this did not seem as his major concern at the start of the conflict a week ago.
